Lee Quinby Stars in “Between Upstate and Down”
Between Upstate and Down is a 2018 short film by Sam Hampton starring filmmaker and author Lee Quinby as a 72-year-old woman who dreams of giving up her life in Manhattan to live and work on a farm in upstate New York.
Sam Hampton is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and executive director of the Social Justice Film Institute, a Seattle-based nonprofit that fosters a community for social justice filmmakers. Sam’s films have been screened at the Library of Congress, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Cornell Cinema, the Chautauqua Institution, and numerous national film festivals.
